Frequently asked questions

For players

Is RallyLadder really free for players?

Completely. Creating an account and logging your games are free forever — there’s no paid tier for players and no catch.

Do I need to download an app?

No. RallyLadder opens right in your phone’s browser — just scan the QR code at your court or go to rallyladder.com. If you’d like it as an icon on your home screen, tap “Install app” (Android) or Share → “Add to Home Screen” (iPhone) — no app store needed.

Is there a ranking or scores?

No — and that’s on purpose. We heard from players that a competitive ranking isn’t what community rec play is about. RallyLadder just logs that a game happened. No scores, no winners, no rankings — just a quick way to help your town see how much the courts get used.

How do I log a game?

Open the app (or scan the QR at your court), choose Pickleball or Tennis, and tap once. Pickleball logs as a doubles game; tennis lets you pick singles or doubles. There are no names or scores to enter, and the time and date are recorded automatically. That’s it — about one second per game.

Is my information private?

Your town’s dashboard shows your name and how many games you’ve logged (participation only — no scores). We never sell your data, and you can be removed on request. See our privacy policy.

For towns, clubs & parks & rec

What does my town or community club get?

A live court-usage dashboard — games logged, peak-demand hours, busy days, and active residents, with pickleball and tennis tracked separately — plus CSV exports. It’s the kind of data that supports budget requests and capital planning like resurfacing, lights, and new courts.

How do residents log games?

They scan the QR signs on your courts, join free, pick your location, and tap once to log each game. It flows straight into your dashboard — no staff data entry.

How much does it cost?

It’s free for every resident. For a location, plans start at a season pass or a low monthly rate. See plans.

How do we add our courts?

Any logged-in user can register a location from their account page. Want to set up a pilot for your town? Email us — we’ll get you started.
